VGO & CWC Update

Saturday, November 29th, 2008

I’m checking out VGO at the moment and trying to figure out why the audio tracks & sounds seem to be causing the crashes (as well as certain sounds not being played, like the choppers, etc.).

I’ve updated CWC to build 490, and it has been uploaded to FileFront.  However, if you have the older install, you can download the updates from the CWC website, which makes more sense than downloading over 500MB worth of mod each time an update comes out.  To update your 496 build, you need to make sure you download all patches to 490 (download 495, 494, 493, etc.) and rename them from .cwc to .big.  Then manually copy the patche files to the Zero Hour Data folder.  Run the CWC launcher like you normally would and the game should recognize the patches without a problem.

Once I figure out what’s going on with VGO, I will check it against CWC & see if that solves the random crashing I’ve had with missions.  If so, I’ll update CWC to reflect the changes.  Sorry for the problems, but I’m working to fix them as fast as I can.

Update

Time for an update.  I’ve been behind in keeping up with new releases (VGO & CWC come to mind…) but I’ve been extremely swamped.  I will try to update things over the upcoming holiday, and hopefully figure out why VGO and CWC have bugs in the Mac version that are not present in the PC version.  Without access to a version of Zero Hour that allows debugging, it’ll be difficult, but I’ll see what I can do.
