Blitz II 3 & VGO 1.4 Progress
For all of you who are wondering “When is this guy going to release Blitz & VGO? It’s been a long time, and I want to play!!!!1111!!”
Here’s the deal: I have finally isolated the several bugs that cause gameplay-stopping crashes in Blitz. Currently, I am working with the team to fix them, but we have to try several things and I don’t have an ETA at the moment.
With VGO, I found a bug with infantry that will cause the game to crash, and it happens when the CPU plays as well, so there is no avoidance of the crash… it’ll happen sooner or later. We are currently working on fixing this as well.
So there you have it, an update. I’ve tried to roll out bug-free releases that are fun and playable, and I won’t release VGO or Blitz until they pass my tests.

Thank you for the update! I just loaded Snow Leopard. I cannot get Shockwave to work. Anyone else have that problem… and a solution? Thx.

What do you mean it won’t work? From my testing there shouldn’t be any problems…

The installation crashes (even tried a new download of Shockwave). I always get an “EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)” exception error with a “KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0×00000000652f4579″ exception code (sorry, not too familiar with all this). Seems like Zero Hour itself crashes during game play. I had a clean install of Snow Leopard. I’ll create another user, and see if that doesn’t crash it!

New user didn’t work… neither did a reinstall of Snow Leopard. Digging deeper into the errors, looks like a CarbonCore issue. super_kev, have you tested directly in Snow Leopard, after a clean install?

Is there any German version? I do not have any problems reading English texts but the lauchers (it’s the same with all mods) can’t find the files of my German version of ZH.
PS.: If you want to I can translate the texts to help you making full German versions.

No, English is all I make, as other languages are not supported by most mods, and to include support for additional languages (for which I would need the localized ZH version) would be quite a bit of work. Did you try to fix the problem by creating a english-based Data folder with Audio, English, Movies, and Scripts subfolders?
The Audio folder should have a Tracks subfolder with the stock ZH tracks (C_Chix01.mp3, CHI_10.mp3, Chi_11.mp3, GLA_10.mp3, GLA_11.mp3, USA_10.mp3, USA_11.mp3).
The English folder should have your generals.csf file, and a Movies subfolder (with all your “Comp_ … .mov”) movies.
The Scripts folder should have your three Scripts files (MultiplayerScripts.scb, Scripts.ini, SkirmishScripts.scb).

VGO always crashes no matter what you really need to work on that bug…
But good job so far!

Hi I have downloaded VGO, CWC, Blitz, and Mideast, but none of them will work (except VGO but it crashes when loading) any tips on that?
Thanks
