C&C Generals & Zero Hour

Custom Resolution: To change your resolution (in Generals or Zero Hour) to a custom size, you have two options: Method 1: Hold down the “Shift” key while opening Zero Hour, and a dialog box will pop up with display options that you can select.  When using a mod launcher, double-click on the launcher, and then hold down the Shift key.  The resolution you select is permanent and you do not need to hold down the Shift key again, even though the in-game graphics option may display a different resolution.  Method 2: If you do not see a resolution that you want to use, edit the “Options.ini” in the User Data folder, and add the custom resolution to the “RESOLUTION = ” line.  For example, if you want to play at 1680×1050 (which the Shift-key method supports), then change the line to read “RESOLUTION = 1680 1050″.

Note: Change your graphics settings (shadows, particle effects, etc.) before you use the Shift-key method or edit the Option.ini file.  If you don’t and plan to modify the graphics settings, Zero Hour will overwrite the custom resolution when you apply the changes.

C&C 3

Custom Maps: Navigate to ~\Library\Preferences\Command and Conquer 3 Preferences\p_drive\Application Data\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\Maps, and create a new folder that is named exactly after the name of the custom map.  Place all map files inside this folder, and you should be able to access the custom map from the map selection screen in-game.
